FIRST® LEGO® League Singapore Season Challenges

At FIRST LEGO® League Singapore, we inspire and empower the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders through the thrilling world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). As a premier robotics and research programme, FIRST LEGO® League combines the excitement of sports with the rigours of science and technology.

Each year, FIRST LEGO® League introduces a new Challenge based on a real-world, scientific theme, offering participants the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and practical problem-solving. The journey begins with Discover, where young children are introduced to the fundamentals of STEM through fun challenges and model-building using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.

As participants progress to Explore, they take their foundational knowledge and put it into practice. Working in teams, they design and build robots using the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential, honing their skills in teamwork, creativity, and technical know-how.

When ready for a competitive setting, participants advance to Challenge. Here, they apply their STEM skills and critical thinking to collaborate, build advanced robots, and compete in an exhilarating, mission-based robotics game.
